Hello,

I am trying to find out the GUIDs ran the query:

Select
    Sys.Name0,
    Sys.SMSID0,
    Sys.Domain0,
    Sys.SystemRole0
from
    dbo.v_GS_SYSTEM Sys
Where
    Sys.SMSID0 = @GUID

but I have only 5 records in this table for 1,000+ clients... why clients are not updating this table?

Thanks,

Which file in which folder should I look for to get the correct version?

What is the latest version of SCOM 2007?

SCCM 2007 : Hardware inventory failed at the Central (Badmif)

Hello,

I'm currently having issue with a hardware inventory replication at the Central.

We have SCCM 2007 R3 Build 6487 installed. We have a central and primary. Client version is 4.00.6487.2207. The problem occured not on all resource.

Symptoms:
Client side: no error in the inventoryagent.log. Sucessfully sent report to primary.
Primary side: no error in the dataldr.log, no badmif and SQL database contains HW inventory information.
Central side: error in the dataldr.log with a badmif. SQL databse don't contains HW inventory information.

Full resync HW inventory = No sign in log on the central
Delta HW inventory = Badmif at the central with error in dataldr.log

ERROR - attempt to update non-existent row. Invalid command:  exec pWorkstationStatus_DATA 1,210897,'11/08/2013 11:48:47',1,'11/8/2013 11:46','4294967298',4105,-300

I tried a lot of solution from Technet but still having issue.

What I did?
- Discovery Data Collection Cycle
- Delta HW
- Full HW
- Repair client
- Rebuilt WMI
- Uninstall and reinstall client
- Played with the stored procedure pWorkstationStatus_DATA

Do anyone have this kind of issue? I need help.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks

Windows Experience Index inventory

Has anyone thought of a usable way to collect Windows Experience Index figures from systems that havs ran the test, and store the results in a table in the ConfigMgr database? That would be a really nice function!

If a user has ran the test on a computer, the results are stored in a XML file in C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore, so collecting the most recent file and feed it to a clever script that extract result figures and stores it in DB wouldn't be too hard.

... or?  ;-)

One Time File Collection From Multiple User Profiles

Hello,

I am trying to collect log files from workstations using the File Collection setting in the Software and Inventory Client Agent.

This is not an ongoing task but simply grabbing the files once.  My issue I'm experiencing is trying to collect the files from multiple userprofiles.  Using the %userprofile% system variable will collect from the NetworkService account.

I'm not convinced I'm approaching this task in the right direction.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello,

Several servers did not show the hardware inventory in the Resource Explorer. The software inventory is working fine and reporting daily.

These are new servers installed two weeks ago. The schedule on the Hardware Inventory Client Agent is daily.

No BADMIF for these servers..

Any logs to check to locate the issue... InventoryAgent.log is:

My Documents Folder Size

We are in the process of moving users to Windows 7 and are looking to see if SCCM can help us with gathering the folder size of My Documents.  Is there a way to impliment this?  While our users have a "H" drive, My Documents isn't redirected to that so at a best guess 95% of our 16,000 users are using their local system to store data.

Custom Mif Reporting issue

Hi All,

We have created a custom script that will create a noidmif file in the inventory\noidmif folder. This is basically for custom FEP reports. we have implemented this solution in windows 2003 and windows 2008r2 environments, this is working perfectly in 2003 but in 2008r2 the mif files are getting created in the root of C:\ . due to this the inventory agent is not able to collect the custom information from the client.

Please help if you have any ideas.

SCCM 2007 Best Practices On Removing Resources from Collections when no longer on network

$

Hello Everyone:

Any assistance from the knowledgable SCCM gurus would be most helpful and appreciated.

My company is new to removing resources from SCCM and we were looking to see what the Best Practice is on removing resources from Collections.  We have several desktops and laptops that are no longer on the network, but they are still showing up in the SCCM Collections.

1. Should the un-networked resources get removed from AD and then SCCM collection will list the resources correctly?

2. Or should they be manually deleted from the SCCM collection and also deleted from AD?

3. If a SCCM resource is not  on the network for a week, why would it still be reporting in AD?  Shouldn't the "Active" status of the resouce show up in SCCM as "NO"?

Our Discovery process is setup with the following:

Active Directory System Group Discovery - Enable Directory System Group Discovery

Distinguished Name: OU=Windows7 DESKTOPS, Recursive=Yes, Group=Excluded

Active Directory Security Group Discovery - Enable Active Directory Security Group Discovery

Distinguished Name: CN=SCCM SERVER CLIENT, Recursive=Yes, Group=Excluded

Active Directory System Discovery - Enable Active Directory System Discovery

Distinguished Name: OU=Windows7 DESKTOPS, Recursive=Yes, Group=Excluded

Active Directory User Discovery - NOT Enabled

Heartbeat Discovery - Enable Heartbeat Dicovery  (Send every 1 Weeks)
