How to create reports when using custom mof ?

Hello ! I created a registry key (HKLM\SOFTWARE\SCCM\IMAGE) in my base image to keep track of the version of the images we deploy.

I was able to add the registry infos into the sms_def.mof and configuration.mof files by following this procedure.

I am now wondering how can I use the reports to get the data  ???? Where is the new data stored..?

Below are the parts I added into the following files

configuration.mof

#pragma namespace ("\\\\.\\root\\cimv2")
#pragma deleteclass("SCCM_Image", NOFAIL)
[DYNPROPS]
Class SCCM_Image
{
[key] string KeyName;
String SCCM_Image_Version;
String SCCM_TS_Build;
};

[DYNPROPS]

{

[PropertyContext("Local|HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\SCCM\\Image|SCCM_Image_Version"),Dynamic,Provider("RegPropProv")] SCCM_Image_Version;
[PropertyContext("Local|HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\SCCM\\Image|SCCM_TS_Build"),Dynamic,Provider("RegPropProv")] SCCM_TS_Build;
};

#pragma namespace ("\\\\.\\root\\cimv2")
#pragma deleteclass("SCCM_Image_64", NOFAIL)
[DYNPROPS]
Class SCCM_Image_64
{

SCCM Query For Folder Size

I am trying to find out if this is even possible and if so how to impliment it...

Is there a way to have SCCM collect and report on a Folder Size i.e. My Documents for a collection of computers? I know that SCCM can get this information for File Types through Software inventory, but what about Folders?

Hi all,

I am facing an issue in some sccm clients. hardware scan report shows very old date.software Inventory scan looks good.

i have reinstalled the client but still the same old scan date shows in the Report.(Inventory dates for a specific computer).

i have checked the inventoryagent log ,everything looks fine ( Successfully sent report. Destination:mp:MP_HinvEndpoint,)

How to resolve this.?

any help much appreciated.

How to generate a report of all collected files?

We have a parent primary SCCM 2007 site and two child primary sites.  File collection is enabled on all three sites for the same filenames.  Files appear to be collected.

I want a report showing the filenames and paths collected.  So I used the table "v_GS_CollectedFile" and it dumps all the data I need, except it lists files stored on only the parent site server.  How do I get the info for the other two servers?

Inventory Dell DRAC information

Hi there,

I have been struggling with trying to get this working correctly in our test lab. I added the following to sms_def.mof however it will not compile correctly and restores from backup:

 //-------------------------------
// Start Dell DRAC Properties
//-------------------------------

#pragma namespace ("\\\\.\\root\\cimv2\\Dell")
#pragma deleteclass("Dell_RemoteAccessServicePort",NOFAIL)

[SMS_Report(True),SMS_Group_Name("Dell Drac Properties"),SMS_Class_ID("CUSTOM|Dell_RemoteAccessServicePort|1.0")]
class Dell_RemoteAccessServicePort : SMS_Class_Template

    [SMS_Report(TRUE),key] string AccessInfo;
    [SMS_Report(TRUE)]     uint16 EnabledDefault;
    [SMS_Report(TRUE)]     uint16 EnabledState;
    [SMS_Report(TRUE)]     string Status;
    [SMS_Report(TRUE)]     string SystemName;
    [SMS_Report(TRUE)]     string VersionString;
};

//-------------------------------
//  End Dell DRAC Properties
//-------------------------------

This is what Dataldr.log has to say about it:

It seems to not like the ("\\\\.\\root\\cimv2\\Dell") namespace because if I switch it to read (\\\\.\\root\\cimv2\\SMS) then it compiles. However I am certain that the namespace on the clients needs to be the Dell one in order to read the DRAC properties from Dell_RemoteAccessServicePort. If you run a wbemtest against that namespace on a DRAC enabled client you can see the DRAC IP address against AccessInfo property.

The configuration.mof compiles just fine and looks like this:

//--------------------------------
// Start DELL DRAC properties
//--------------------------------

#pragma namespace ("\\\\.\\root\\cimv2\\Dell")
#pragma deleteclass("Dell_RemoteAccessServicePort",NOFAIL)

[DYNPROPS]
class Dell_RemoteAccessServicePort
{
    [key] string AccessInfo;
          uint16 EnabledDefault;
   uint16 EnabledState;
          string Status;
   string SystemName;
   string VersionString;
};

//-------------------------------
//  End DELL DRAC properties
//-------------------------------

Anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks,

Iain

Hi,

I would like to inventory entries for the Windows Boot Loader (bcdedit /enum) using SCCM in order to detect multi-boot configurations.

Anyone ever did something like that? Or has any suggestions?

Thx,

Raid information on Dell PowerEdge systems

Been working on a long sql query for few weeks now and I am now at the final stages of completing this query which displays information on any chosen collection of Dell PowerEdge servers.
What I am trying to do is to include RAID controller model (which is easy as I can pull that from SCSI Controllers) as well as how the disks were configured and number of disks.
For example, if the server had six 146GB disks and first two were configured as RAID 1 and the rest were configured as RAID 5, how would I display this in my reports?
Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks!

Find Applications Installed By SCCM From Machine

Hi Team,

Im developing a tool with vbscript to investigate and fix issues of sccm deployments as well as system issues. I need that tool to populate the installed softwares in the current machine and categorise as "installed thru SCCM" and others.

Thru WMI query (Win32_Product) i can find all the installed software and its properties informations. But how to take the information as which are installed thru SCCM from the client XP machine?

Is there anywhere in the local machine, the sccm registers as software policies which are installed and not?

SCCM2007SP2 + SQL2012 + Windows 7 x64 inventory error

Hi,

seems we have a problem with win 7 SP1 x64 clients, im not quite sure, but think it appeared first after upgrading to SQL2012. Noticed only now because was looking into an issue why new notebooks doesnt appear in their respectice collection.

So, SCCM has been upgraded with the 2 SQL2012 related updates right the time we upgraded to SQL2012.

Client reports without an issue, but the dataldr.log has entries like that:
*** [42000][102][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near '99901'. : dd_Remove_Programs_64_DATA_ins SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER 2012. 07. 26. 9:58:24 5724 (0x165C)

(no i didnt mistakenly delete something, it reads dd_Remove_Programs and not Add_Remove_Programs)

Important to note we have 32bit XP clients which seem to report without any issue.

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

Hi ,

I a trying to add the "Win32_PnPSignedDriver" since I want to collect the driver version from the class.

I am keep getting the below failure on each attribute I am trying to add from this class:Failed to add an instance of class

"Failed to add an instance of class Win32_PnPSignedDriver to historical store: 80041002 InventoryAgent 1/24/2011 9:33:45 PM 5248 (0x1480)"

When I was looking for a sloution I have found that the problem might be that the key of the class is not valid since it is not holding any data(NULL) , the key of the class is the "Name" field.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi,

I have to meter the .exe of Adobe CS 4 and CS 5 components. However i find that the components of CS like photoshop use the same exe which is photoshop.exe. Now the users of CS 4 and CS 5 are different. I can give two different names for the metering rule but if both has the same .exe it will report for both versions right. How do i seperate the reports for the different versions ?

Hi,

I am getting above error in mpcontrol.log on primary server .. I have gone through below blog..

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgribcm/thread/692316db-18cb-4161-a254-3a9cf352474b/?prof=required

I have few questions.. appreciate if someone can answer ..

1) As Jason said in above blog that, this occurs because computer doesn't get resolve in DNS.... is this computer mean site server itself or clients in the environment...?

2) I am getting this error on primary server.. can it affect ddm.box count on central.. as I have seen huge amount of count for ddm.box on central server...

Thanks

Hardware Inventory for offline clients?

Using SCCM R2 SP2:
Is there any chance of collecting hardware inventory data from systems that are not directly connected to the MP?

Roger Zander once wrote the SMS 2003 Offline Hardware Inventory, however the generated MIF files are always rejected by the inventory data loader without giving a reason (mifchecker tells me the syntax is ok)

All I get is this:
Moving MIF file E:\SMS\inboxes\dataldr.box\WOLNB00030.mif to E:\SMS\inboxes\dataldr.box\process\WOLNB00030.mif    SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER    27.01.2010 14:00:04    17040 (0x4290)
